Happy New Years everyone! Spring 2012 youth tackle football up and down the Front Range is quickly coming upon us, so register now and join us for our 4th season of Spring Tackle Football.
New for 2012: All registrations must be completed online on this website under the Registration tab of the home page. You'll need to have a family account so you must register each child under one email and password. If your family account has been set up you'll only have to update your information and then register your child(ren).
For North & West Players/Teams: Saturday, February 25th from 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm at Silver Hill Middle School, 12400 Huron Street, located in Wesminster. We'll be in the school cafeteria.
For East & South Players/Teams: Saturday, March 3rd from 12:00 noon - 3:00 pm at the Regency Student Housing, 3900 Elati Street in Denver. We'll be in the main gym.. Enter building on the east side. When accessing the gate inform attendant you're here for football check-ins.
NOTE: Players will need to provide proof of grade (report cards or student ID cards) and a current physical (less the 12 months old) in order to check-in in order to have their photo taken for their player passes and be officially weighted, if applicable. Only players in Minors-Juniors will be need to be weighted. If your child is requesting to play down they'll need to be weighted as well. For example, a 11th grader wishing to play down to the Junior Varsity division the must be weighted and meet the required play down weight. All MHFL players must be registered, checked-in, be identified, and must have players ID passes in order to play.
We'll have discounted used Schutt and Riddle helmets and shoulder pads available for sale at these two check-ins. Most items are less then two seasons old. Prices range from $50-$65 for helmets and $25-$40 for shoulder pads. Cash only so please bring exact amount. All sales are final.
Early Registration Fee: Save $25 when your child register by December 31, 2011.
Regular Registration Fee: $150 per child (less sibling discount) when registered from January 1-Feb 29, 2012.
Late Registration Fee: $175 per child (less sibling discount) when registering late from March 1st on.
Our second coaches meeting is scheduled for this coming Saturday, March 10th, from 9:45 am - 11:45 am at the Regency Student Housing, 3900 Elati St, Denver, CO 80216. The meeting will take place in the auditorium of "The Alley" located on the east side of complex. Included in the meeting will be our concussion recognition training as well. As required by all Colorado law enacted this year, all coaches must attend a concussion training or provide proof of having attend this required training. This is a mandatory meeting for all coaches.
All coaching candidates must complete a Coaching Application and successfully pass a background check before be fully approved to coach. Also, all coaches must attend a concussion recognition course by our league or show proof of having attended one or completed a course as required by Colorado law (this new law became effective January 1, 2012).

Single Patch Players shall be on the LOS (line of scrimmage) and may advance the ball on forward pass, fumble and interception. A Single Patch Player will wear a single "Patch" decal on the back of his/her helmet.
Double Patch Players shall be on the LOS (line of scrimmage) at all times and may NOT advance the ball on any play though he/she may recover fumble and catch interception. A Double Patch Player will will wear two patches on the back of his/her helmet.
Play Down Weight: This weight is the maximum weight a player can weigh in order to play down a division. Parents must request to have their child play down and meet the required weight limit.
